The Story of Francis of Assisi.
Francis, the son of an Italian merchant, was captivated by the adventurous tales of knights and the epic songs troubadours (composers/performers of lyric poetry during the High Middle Ages dealing mainly with themes of chivalry and courtly love) that his father brought back from his travels. He decided to follows his dreams and become of chivalrous knight. But after seeing the poor and suffering in the tragedies of war, he decided to give away all of his worldly possessions and become a troubadour for God.
