St. Patrick's Confession is patrick's exciting account of his life. He was born into Roman Britain, but when he was about sixteen he was captured by Irish raiders and taken as a slave to Ireland, where he lived for six years before escaping and returning to his family. He describes the development of his Christian faith, and his return to Ireland as a missionary, the baptising of thousands of people, and a trial where he had to defend himself against his accusers.
St. Patrick’s Breastplate is a prayer attributed to Patrick or his followers. It contains one of the often quoted passages: "Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me..."
